The Colorado State Patrol has announced it will be ramping up efforts to stop dangerous driving on Interstate 70 in Summit, Eagle, and Garfield counties the weekend of October 23rd through 25th. Drivers can expect to see a high volume of State Troopers patrolling I-70 in the mountains this weekend. This stretch of the I-70 mountain corridor is known to have a high volume of vehicle collisions.
Troopers will be on the lookout for speeding, distracted driving, and impaired driving. Stay safe if you’re driving on I-70 in the mountains this weekend. Drive sober, obey the posted speed limit, and avoid distracted driving, including texting while driving.
